When and how was the event discovered - when and how was the event contained?
Olympus continues to investigate a cybersecurity incident detected on October 10, 2021, that affected IT systems in the Americas (U.S., Canada, and Latin America). We are working with appropriate technical forensic experts and law enforcement authorities on this situation and will continue to take all necessary measures to serve our customers and business partners in a secure way.
How will customers know if their data was involved in this incident?
The investigation is ongoing. If investigations uncover that a customer’s data was involved in a way that calls for us to provide notification, we will provide notification via a letter, email, or phone.
